Hmm... has Twitter's policy changed with regards to *deleting* one's own account (as opposed to simply deactivating it)?
I am pretty certain I pressed the big red "Delete" button about a month and a half ago (i.e. more than the advertised 30 days before deletion), but having accidentally relogged into my account (thanks to my password manager...), I see my account still lives! ffs!
I can't seem to be able to double check anything without "reactivating the account" and cancelling the period.
Although I would assume the same goes for all non-American NPCs in the game
Can I just say that in #deusex, the French NPCs voice acting in English is hilariously, completely off. No native French ever sounds like that. You can hear the American faking it so much! 🤠 #gameing #fakeittillyoumakeit

A suggestion for ethical, privacy-oriented dedicated server provider, preferrably in Europe (geographical, not necessarily EU)? I'm having trouble finding others than 1&1 or OVH-related hosters, or cheap dodgy, generic-named ones.
In the original #deusex, the protagonist JC Denton (left) can occasionally engage random, secondary NPCs on questions of politics and philosophy. This has no bearing on the story development, and is meant for the player’s enjoyment (or not...?).

This Politico think-piece (https://www.politico.eu/article/those-gdpr-emails-you-got-all-for-nothing-general-data-protection-regulation/) says that the flood of #GDPR emails was unnecessary as « those were sent to existing customers having already given consent ».
I haven’t studied GDPR into detail, but this looks like an (accidental?) admission that this idea of customer-provider relationship isn’t expected to ever expire. That’s an issue IMO. My « consent » from 2008 isn’t valid in 2018, soz.

It's quite aggravating the sheer volume of 0-effort, dump-my-error-log issues filed under any moderately popular project's bug tracker, provided it is public (e.g. github). People don't respect people...
dwm (tiling window manager) and st (terminal emulator) (suckless.org) are great pieces of barebones, « do one thing well » UNIX-style software, and I’ve been using them for months now.
If you patch them however, beware the upgrade process — these guys have no config files, everything is hardcoded, so your precious customisation is gone after the upgrade (unless you find or write an equivalent, compatible patch).
It very well sounds like the goth rock renewal comes from Italy these days.
