Sometimes I regret positioning myself as a Mom

Because sometimes I need to just be able to say “I’m sad about things”

and have people say “what can I do to help?”

and be able to answer them honestly instead of having to say “oh, it’s okay” or “nothing I can think of” or “just being here is nice”

Sometimes I want to be able to say “help me find a job and give me hugs and tell me I’m doing okay and reassure me that I can do the thing and love me for who I am instead of what I can do for you”

I miss smooches
