i actually have terrible taste in coffee
case in point: i actually like starbucks coffee even though everyone says it's burnt to hell
if they made coffee with cayenne in it i would probably drink that, too.
wakey wakey
@KitRedgrave Honestly I bet you could make something super tasty with espresso + cayenne
@mhu2141ai @KitRedgrave I've made espresso and Turkish coffee with all kinds of spices, but my favourite by far is still "the original" cardamom
@mhu2141ai @KitRedgrave there's no shooting involved in making Turkish (or Arabic, or Bosnian, or etc…) coffee
it happens in slow motion
@mhu2141ai @KitRedgrave the grind for Turkish coffee has to be the finest you can imagine, like fairy dust
@mhu2141ai my partner got me the porlex mini and holy shit i just saw its price
i can do a nice grind for aeropress / pourover, and i use the same setting for my bialetti (but a different roast)
for Turkish coffee, i squeeze it all the way shut, basically (and use the darker, espresso roast) i also put the cardamom seeds in with the coffee
@meena Oh, if you can get something you like with a porlex I'm probably good
@mhu2141ai i love the porlex, it's almost like home
@meena @KitRedgrave I've never tried turkish. How consistent does grind size have to be for good results? I have a lido2 I use for drip, but not really anything espresso-geared
