is "trans girls who shitpost about being gay and how much they hate facebook and like romance anime" a programmer demographic or something
not only is this some skeezy programmer thing but it's also trying to sell me on vim and emacs through some weird tired interview-flavoured tech elitism i don't understand it
telling me "most people who pass a technical interview do X" is a really really good way to make me not want to do X ever
but like i said i have literally zero idea what i'm posting about right now i'm a humanities major ok
@kibi emacs is awesome but I am reasonably certain it won't help in an interview. Most of the industry is so busy chasing trends, people are only impressed if you use the latest cool IDE thing with a clicky interface that eats all your memory.
@matthewkrauss yeah i mean i think everyone should use whatever they feel comfortable with, it's the trend-chasing that bugs me tbh
