Interesting. The issue I saw said that pidgin didn't yet support it. But maybe it will be eventually possible.

@gcupc Otherwise, I think Profanity and bitlbee (if you're using a terminal IRC client) are what I'd say

Oh! I just saw Profanity yesterday and forgot about it. I brushed over it because it doesn't have OMEMO support, but it does seem to be actively developed, so perhaps it will get it.
@gcupc Well, that thing does claim there's a bounty on it, and the issue has had way more activity than bitlbee's
