The brut in #brutalism is for French "raw, unpolished" rather than English "bestial, violent". I take #brutalist web design to mean web pages that look like web pages, not like mobile apps.

The "not that unpolished" mainly comes from picking a reasonable CSS framework and not messing with it.

I was playing word games - I meant it didn't look that unpolished.
