🌈hey peeps🌈 so my partner lost their wallet this weekend which contained their entire $250 paycheck in cash they’d just cashed. Rent is due today & they pay $350 so they are short over half their rent. A woman at today's rally in Chicago mentioned that ICE had been detaining some parents when the parents were trying to get their kids from school.
So the teachers started looking out for ICE, and if they saw ICE at school, a few teachers or administrators would go outside wearing a certain-colored vest / jacket. And the parents knew that, if they saw that color, it meant ICE was there, and they parents would leave. The teachers would then make sure that the kids got home safe.
