I was going to talk about a specific character in those last posts who people still insist should have been trans but I decided like that wouldn't really help. But now the CW is a little off. Oops.

I think we need to also work to normalise the act of questioning regardless of result. I think that will both help queer people realise their identity sooner and help further acceptance from cishet folx.

If someone (especially a queer writer, but any writer without ill-intent) writes a char arc where they explore gender or sexuality, and the story does not frame it as a bad thing, then it isn't a problem if that character does not end up being queer.

I feel the need to give my opinion on something but I'm fairly sure it will be an unpopular one.

I think a character that explores their sexuality or gender identity in fiction but resolves to identify as heterosexual or cis is not inherently bad or queerphobic (of course, an individual instance still could be).

Obviously, more LGBTQ rep (as well as other marginalised groups) in media is very good and we should strive for it, but... 1/x

Honestly, the focus being put on Roy Moore saying a phrase in Russian during an interview is a bit much. I can say "Hello, how are you?"in 6 or 7 languages.

There's a thousand legitimate reasons to hate the guy without focusing on that.

I thought bitcoin was stupid when I knew almost nothing about it the details of how it works and now just learning little bits more I think it's far more stupid than I ever previously fathomed.

Okay, full disclosure, I don't get bitcoin or why it's so expensive. There's constantly more being mined, right? Does it ever leave the ecosystem? If not I'd expect massive inflation like what often happens with MMO in-game currency. But over the years I've seen it go from double to triple to quadruple to quintuple digits USD.
