Trans Pride Seattle could use a little help, they lost a bunch of money unexpectedly from sponsors backing out and gov't funding disappearing.

If you're too poor for A/C, here's what I did when I was also too poor for A/C. Copper tubing attached to fan with zip ties. Plastic tubing attached to fishtank pump, submerged in beer cooler full of ice water. Cold water runs through the pipes and makes 'em frostycold, fan blows frostycold at hot people. Works pretty well! Lots of guides online on how to make one. Put a towel on the floor in front of it, lots of condensation.

Sometimes I feel like a bad tran because I had generally a pretty good time in secondary school.

Like I still fucked up my a levels and people did try to bully me a little bit outside of school (didn't really work) but maybe the fact I went to a single sex grammar school meant no-one fucked with me due to smarts or gender policed.

Though unfortunately wasn't a gay experience I would have totally loved to make out with a few of the girls.

@jk yeah. it's actually really sad how the environmental movement basically pissed away all their credibility because performative activism over trivia was easier and gave a superficial appearance of achievement, while they shied away from large issues, hoping I guess thats they would be in a stronger position later

like, liberal activists are absolute masters of...kinda standing off to one side and passively harrumphing about big issues

now nobody listens, and it's too late

@jk @kara all the environmental campaigns I remember from my childhood were of the form "if everyone just uses a little less water/runs their car a little less/ etc" every little grain of sand counts.

And now I look at the numbers and like, no, it's not on the individual and it never was, and I guess ppl got tired of taking cold showers and the world still going to shit cause no one told car companies to "make a little fewer cars" and "use a little less petroleum"

I do love my partner but also the way he deals with issues is bad and is giving me physical signs of stress now.

Like we had a day out last week where we tried to go to a ferry but it was too scary for him to cross the bridge (fine) but he was belligerent and saying everything was awful and we were in another shithole (everywhere is a shithole to him unless it's knightsbridge, Richmond etc) and he can't decide on anything so it's up to me to make choices and therefore if something goes wrong
